International Research Conference (3-4 April, 2019)

The 4th International Research Conference on Alpha-1 Antitrypsin will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, 3-4 April. This is a meeting for invited researchers and discussants, yet open to any observers interested in Alpha-1 research. On Wednesday, the program will take place from 14:00hrs to 17:00hrs and on Thursday from 9:00hrs to 17:00hrs. The Research Conference will end with a reception and dinner for Research Conference participants and Patient Congress participants.

Global Patient Congress (5-6 April, 2019)

The 7th Alpha-1 Global Patient Congress will start on Thursday evening, 4 April, with a welcome reception and networking dinner where Alpha-1 patients, physicians and researchers can interact. On Friday, the program will take place from 9:00hrs to 17:30hrs and on Saturday from 9:00hrs to 17:00hrs.

General Event Information

OFFICIAL LANGUAGE & TRANSLATION: The official language of the Patient Congress is English.

OXYGEN THERAPY: For any Alphas with decreased lung capacity; please indicate on your registration form if you have specific oxygen needs, so we can make the appropriate arrangements for you.

PERFUMES: All Congress attendees are asked to refrain from wearing perfumes or colognes as these can trigger serious breathing difficulties for some Alphas.

INSURANCE: Congress organisers cannot accept liability for personal injuries or for loss or damage to property belonging to Congress participants during or as a result of the event.

FITNESS CENTER & SPA: Each hotel room guest receives complimentary access to the fitness center and  spa (excluding treatments).

 

 

Travel Information

AIR TRAVEL: Please use Dubrovnik Airport (DBV) as your air travel destination. From the airport to the hotel you can take a one-way taxi (35€) or Uber (12-15€).

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL WITH OXYGEN: If you are traveling by air using oxygen, please familiarise yourself with the regulations of the airlines you are flying with. Some guidelines vary per airline, so be prepared.
