COVID-19 Public Policy Implications for Europe

UPDATED 27 MARCH, 2020: RPP Group, a Brussels-based public policy and advocacy consultant, has produced a monitoring service that will be disseminated regularly, providing timely updates on the impact of COVID-19 in Europe. This monitoring service will feature up-to-date information regarding the current state of play and statistics, national measures, political dialogue and industry/business-related news of COVID-19 on public policy in the European Union, Italy, Spain, France, Germany and the United Kingdom (UK).

Following the outbreak in Italy, the European Commission has taken a coordinated, proactive approach to respond to this healthcare threat as other Member States are also at risk of experiencing similar outbreaks. The Commission has addressed this crisis by providing funding specifically for research and recently allocated EUR 232 million to assist EU Member States in terms of prevention, diagnosis and patient care.
